Here you'll find the most recent additions, sorted from newest to oldest. This is the page to bookmark if you're a serious collector: good material moves fast, and many new additions are only listed for a few days.

Where new arrivals come from

The catalog grows through four distinct channels, and understanding each one helps you know what you're looking at:

  • Recent central bank issues. When an issuer announces a new commemorative or circulating banknote, we follow it from the official announcement and aim to have it available as soon as possible. For limited-edition issues, we work with pre-orders.
  • Newly certified pieces. Banknotes we send for grading return encapsulated with their certificate number and are published upon receipt, with the grade already assigned.
  • Acquired collections and lots. When an entire collection comes in, we catalog it piece by piece and publish it in batches. This is usually the source of older and more unusual material.
  • Previously uncataloged material. We have stock awaiting photography and description, which we continuously incorporate. Many of the pieces appearing here have been in stock for years without being published.

How we handle each new addition

No piece is published without the catalog reference, issue date, signature (when applicable), and an unembellished description of its condition. The photographs are of the actual specimen you will receive, front and back, not stock images. If the banknote is certified, we provide the number so you can verify it on the certifier's website before paying. And if a piece has a flaw not clearly visible in the photo, we write it in the description: we prefer to sell less than to have more returns.

How to be the first to know

The most interesting additions rarely last. If you're looking for something specific, write to us, and we'll put it on a watch list: we'll notify you when it appears, before publishing it. This is the most effective way to acquire limited-edition pieces, and it costs nothing and involves no commitment.

How often is this page updated?

Continuously. We don't follow a fixed schedule: we publish as material comes in and as we process our backlog of uncataloged items.

Can I reserve a piece before it's published?

Yes. If you tell us what you're looking for, we'll notify you as soon as we locate it and before it appears in the public catalog. There's no upfront payment required.

Are new additions always recent banknotes?

No. "New addition" means newly added to the catalog, not newly issued. This section includes issues from this year alongside century-old banknotes that we've just cataloged.
