500 Romanian leu banknote, the highest denomination in the polymer series from the Banca Națională a României, dated 2018/2024, Pick 123d, uncirculated.

Obverse: portrait of Mihai Eminescu, the Romanian national poet and one of the country's most revered literary figures, alongside a linden flower, a tree prominent in his work. Reverse: the Central University Library of Iași, where the poet's manuscripts are preserved, and the masthead of the newspaper Timpul, where Eminescu worked as an editor.

Eminescu died young, in 1889, but his poetry continues to be taught in Romanian schools and his face is common in national iconography. As the highest denomination banknote in the series, it is often the most sought-after by those completing the set of eight Romanian polymer denominations.
