Bhutan Set 100/500/1000 Ngultrum P43/P44/P45 2025 UNC

Set of three 100, 500, and 1000 ngultrum banknotes issued by the Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan dated 2025, printed on polymer, uncirculated (UNC), and cataloged as Pick 43, Pick 44, and Pick 45. All three banknotes are included, forming the complete commemorative issue for the 70th anniversary of the birth of King Jigme Singye Wangchuck (1955-2025).

100 ngultrum — Obverse: King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and a cosmic mandala with dragons. Reverse: Tashichho Dzong.
500 ngultrum — Obverse: King Jigme Singye Wangchuck in profile and a crossed double vajra, a Buddhist symbol of stability. Reverse: Punakha Dzong.
1000 ngultrum — Obverse: King Ugyen Wangchuck, the first monarch of the dynasty, and the Wheel of the Universal Sovereign. Reverse: Trongsa Dzong.

Each banknote features a transparent lobed window and, on the 500 and 1000, a holographic strip with a dragon. The three obverses bring together three kings of the Wangchuck dynasty with the Raven Crown, and the reverses feature three of the country's great monastery-fortresses.

Standard numbered specimens are sent, not replacement banknotes. The 1000 ngultrum in the image has a Z prefix, but the banknotes sent are not replacements.
