Collection: Eastern Caribbean Notes

Eight Caribbean islands share a single central bank and a single banknote. Antigua, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, and Anguilla use the same Eastern Caribbean dollar, issued by the ECCB since 1983.

The letter for each island

Older series featured an identifying letter for the territory in the serial number, which allows for collecting the same banknote in eight variants. Modern issues eliminated that letter, so that collection has a beginning and an end.

The polymer series

In 2019, the ECCB switched to polymer with a highly awarded vertical series, featuring admirals, turtles, and the Montserrat volcano. It was one of the first central banks in the Caribbean to take that step.
