1 Romanian leu banknote, from the polymer series of the Banca Națională a României, specimen dated 2018/2024, Pick 117p, uncirculated.

Obverse: portrait of historian, politician, and academic Nicolae Iorga, one of the most influential intellectual figures of modern Romania, alongside a gentian flower and the translucent security features characteristic of polymer. Reverse: the Curtea de Argeș Cathedral, one of the most unique temples of Wallachian religious architecture, and the eagle that presides over the historical coat of arms of the region.

As the smallest denomination in the series, with low face value, this banknote circulates little and is usually preserved in very good condition even years after its printing date, making it easy to find uncirculated, as in this specimen from the 2018/2024 print run.
