Mexico 13.5.2015 P-124au PMG 67 EPQ 100 Pesos TOP POP

Mexico 100 pesos banknote, from the old F family of the Bank of Mexico, dated May 13, 2015, Pick 124au, certified by PMG with grade 67 EPQ, the highest grade recorded by the certifier for this variant (TOP POP), uncirculated and encapsulated in a sealed holder with its label.

Obverse: effigy of Nezahualcóyotl, pre-Hispanic poet and ruler of Texcoco, accompanied by an allegory of his poetic work with a zenzontle, symbols of the word in ancient Nahuatl, and a flower growing from a piece of jade. Reverse: an aqueduct from the enclosure of the Templo Mayor of Mexico-Tenochtitlan and a vignette with the stylized glyph of Nezahualcóyotl's name.

This design was in circulation from the 1990s until Banxico replaced it in 2020 with the portrait of Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, so these banknotes document almost three decades of pre-Hispanic iconography on Mexican paper money. The TOP POP condition certified by PMG distinguishes it as the best known example of this particular variant.
