Romania 5 lei banknote, from the polymer series of the Banca Națională a României, 2025 issue, Pick 118l, uncirculated.

Obverse: portrait of composer and violinist George Enescu, the most internationally renowned Romanian musical figure, alongside a carnation. Reverse: the neoclassical facade of the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest, a concert hall opened in 1888 and home to the George Enescu Philharmonic, which also gives its name to the international classical music festival held every two years in the Romanian capital.

As it is a recent issue date, it is one of the easiest variants to find in perfect condition within this denomination, and a good starting point for anyone starting a collection of Romanian polymer banknotes without yet looking for variants from previous years within the same 5 lei denomination.
