10 Romanian lei banknote, from the polymer series of the Banca Națională a României, dated 2018/2020, Pick 119, uncirculated.

Obverse: portrait of painter Nicolae Grigorescu, considered the founder of modern Romanian painting, next to a mallow flower. Reverse: a traditional house from the Oltenia region, in the south of the country, and a reproduction of the painting Rodica, by Grigorescu himself, a reference of the 19th-century Romanian painting school.

This variant, from an earlier printing than others of the same design within the series, is of particular interest to collectors who gather different years and signatures within the same denomination, to document the small changes introduced by each new print run of the 10 lei banknote over time.
