20 Moroccan dirham banknote, Bank Al-Maghrib, issued in 2012, Pick 74, uncirculated.

Obverse: Portrait of King Mohammed VI, with the royal crown in iridescent ink and the national emblem, against a background inspired by traditional Moroccan doors. Reverse: A train crossing the Moulay Hassan bridge, between Rabat and Salé, next to the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, the second largest mosque in use in Africa, all against a background of carpet ornaments.

The Hassan II Mosque, with its minaret over 200 meters tall, is one of Morocco's great contemporary architectural symbols, and appears here alongside the railway infrastructure of the reign. A daily use denomination that serves as a good introduction to the dirham series in effect since 2012.
