Hong Kong 10 dollar banknote, dated July 1, 2002, the fifth anniversary of the transfer of sovereignty to China, issued by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Pick 400a, certified by PMG with a grade of 68 EPQ: uncirculated, with exceptional paper quality.

Obverse: a multicolored geometric design with a transparent window on the left and the name of the issuing government in traditional Chinese and English. Reverse: the same geometric treatment with a transparent window on the right on which the bauhinia flower, Hong Kong's floral emblem, is printed, along with the denomination in both languages.

This banknote inaugurated in 2002 the first polymer issue of the Hong Kong dollar, gradually replacing the paper banknotes of private issuing banks, a technical change that is of particular interest to those who collect polymer banknotes from Asia.
