Gibraltar 20 Pounds banknote, issued by the Government of Gibraltar in 1986, Pick 23c. Certified by PMG with a grade of 66 EPQ, exceptional paper quality, uncirculated, and encapsulated in its sealed holder.

Obverse: Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the legend "Government of Gibraltar." Reverse: The Convent, official residence of the Governor of Gibraltar since the 18th century, a former Franciscan convent converted after the British conquest of the Rock in 1704, a motif that this banknote then shared with the other denominations of the series.

Printed by De La Rue in London, this specimen belongs to the sober design period of Gibraltar banknotes prior to the introduction of distinct historical motifs per denomination, and is of interest to collectors of the 1980s series in the highest conservation grades.
