Ethiopian 5 birr banknote, issued by the National Bank of Ethiopia with no printed date (1976 series), Pick 31a, PMG 67 EPQ Superb Gem Uncirculated certified, uncirculated.

Obverse: A man picking coffee beans, Ethiopia's main export product, alongside the Derg regime's motto "Ethiopia Tikdem" (Ethiopia First). Reverse: A kudu and a serval against the backdrop of the Semien Mountains in the north of the country.

It was issued after the fall of the monarchy and the proclamation of socialist Ethiopia, and its fauna and agriculture theme replaced the imperial portraits of previous series; a banknote valued by collectors of African wildlife and of the Derg era.

“My experience with Iberoamericana Banknotes has been excellent: guaranteed authenticity, personalized advice, and a very wide selection of banknotes from rare countries. I bought a rare Rwandan banknote with a certificate, and it exceeded my expectations.”
