Obverse: Bust of Aphrodite, goddess whose mythology states she was born from the island's waters, next to a holographic map of Cyprus and the national coat of arms, with text in Greek and Turkish. Reverse: A Kyrenia ship, a replica of the Greco-Roman shipwreck found off that coast, sailing next to Aphrodite's Rock (Petra tou Romiou), where tradition places the goddess's birth. The watermark repeats the bust of Aphrodite.
