20-peso "oro" banknote from Colombia, issued by the Banco de la República on July 20, 1974, cataloged as Pick 409c. Certified by PMG with a grade of 67 EPQ (Superb Gem Uncirculated), exceptional paper quality, uncirculated and encapsulated in its sealed holder with the certifier's label.

The 20-peso "oro" denomination belonged to the family of medium-value banknotes issued by the Banco de la República during the 1960s to 1980s, years of strong inflation in Colombia, before successive monetary revaluations gradually removed lower denominations from circulation. The term "oro" (gold) in the currency's name did not refer to a current metallic standard but was an administrative inheritance from previous monetary reforms.

A banknote of this date and such a high grade is of interest to collectors building complete series by year and signature within the family of Colombian "oro" pesos, and they particularly value specimens that have remained untouched since printing.
