Obverse: Hafez Mausoleum (Hafezieh) in Shiraz, white marble pavilion with columns surrounded by gardens. Reverse: Portrait of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.

The poet Hafez (c. 1315–1390) is one of the great masters of Persian lyric poetry. His tomb in Shiraz is one of the most visited monuments in Iran and one of the most recurring settings in Iranian numismatic art.
