10 pound sterling banknote issued by the Bank of Scotland, dated Edinburgh, June 18, 2001, Uncirculated (UNC) and cataloged as Pick 120d, the variant with the signatures of Shaw and Mitchell. It belongs to the bank's tercentenary series, with the inscription "300 years of service to the community 1695-1995".

Obverse: the portrait of Sir Walter Scott next to the bank's coat of arms, with a thistle in the corner and both vertical and horizontal serial numbers. Reverse: the "Distilling and Brewing" scene, featuring the copper stills of a whisky distillery and a group of visitors, accompanied by the bank's headquarters in Edinburgh and three emblems: a seated figure, the saltire with bezants, and a sailing ship.

The Bank of Scotland, founded in 1695, is Scotland's oldest issuing bank, and in this series, it dedicated the reverse of each denomination to a sector of the country's life: the 10-pound note features whisky and brewing. Sir Walter Scott, the novelist of "Ivanhoe", presides over its banknotes in recognition of his defense of Scottish paper money in 1826. A highly sought-after piece for whisky-themed collectors.
