5 Surinamese gulden note, issued by the Central Bank of Suriname on January 1, 2000, Pick 146, uncirculated.

Obverse: a red-necked woodpecker in blue and multicolor tones, with the national coat of arms at the top, a stylized bat as a security element, and ascending serial numbering. Reverse: a passion flower (Passiflora) depicted over the Central Bank of Suriname building, with the same bat motif repeated in a smaller format.

It is the lowest denomination of the 2000 gulden series, intended for common use before the gulden was replaced by the Surinamese dollar in 2004; an affordable and well-preserved entry into South American numismatics.

“My experience with Iberoamericana Banknotes has been excellent: guaranteed authenticity, personalized advice, and a very wide selection of banknotes from rare countries. I bought a rare Rwandan banknote with a certificate, and it exceeded my expectations.”
