Set of 3 banknotes from the Central Bank of Mauritania, uncirculated (UNC): 500 ouguiya 2013 (Pick 18), 1000 ouguiya 2014 polymer (Pick 19) and 2000 ouguiya 2011 (Pick 20).

The obverses feature traditional geometric motifs in greens, blues and turquoises, with the denomination in Arabic calligraphy. The reverses show agricultural workers and a mining facility (500), fish in a net, a hut, an ancient tower and camels (1000) and a dromedary, an open book and a cargo ship (2000).

The ouguiya replaced the CFA franc in 1973 and is divided into five khoums, a peculiarity among the world's currencies.
