Set of 12 uncirculated (UNC) 1,000-pound banknotes from the Banque du Liban, year 2016, featuring the 12 varieties of paper stock for this issue cataloged as Pick 90c(1) to 90c(12). Serial number prefixes K218, K219, K220, K221, K222, K223, K224, K225, K226, K227, K228 and K229.

The design is identical on all, but the Banque du Liban issued millions of 1,000-pound banknotes on different substrates, with various treatments and printing techniques: traditional cotton paper (with intaglio printing on one or both sides and with or without cationic UV varnish), durable papers from AST Crane, Diamond Xtra, Papierfabrik’s LongLife, Goznak, De La Rue’s Platinum and Landqart, and hybrid paper with a clear window. Each variety is identified by its serial number.

Obverse: a table with the letters of the Phoenician alphabet, large numerals 1000, the Lebanon cedar and a clear window with a watermark. Reverse: large numerals 1000 over letters from alphabets derived from Phoenician, with the cedar and the inscription “Banque du Liban - Mille Livres”.

A set designed for the specialist collector who wants to complete the P90c by paper variety.
