25 Mauritian Rupee banknote issued in 1999, cataloged as Pick 49a. Uncirculated (UNC) specimen, retaining the original printing crispness and vivid colors characteristic of this series.

The obverse features the portrait of Sir Moilin Jean Ah-Chuen accompanied by an allegory of justice, iconic elements of late 20th-century Mauritian numismatics. The reverse depicts a typical scene from Rodrigues Island with a traditional Creole house and a fisherman with his creels, reflecting the daily life and cultural heritage of the archipelago.

A reference piece for collectors of Indian Ocean notaphily and African series. Its uncirculated condition and the historical significance of the 1999 issue make it a valuable specimen for specialized numismatic portfolios.
