5 gold peso banknote from the Banco de la República de Colombia, dated January 1, 1980, uncirculated (UNC), cataloged as Pick 406f.3.

Obverse: portrait of General José María Córdova and an Andean condor with outstretched wings. Reverse: view of the fortifications of Cartagena, with the medallion of Liberty.

José María Córdova (1799-1829) was one of the heroes of independence and distinguished himself at the Battle of Ayacucho. The condor is Colombia's national bird, and the walls of Cartagena de Indias are a UNESCO World Heritage site. The gold peso was the country's currency until it was replaced by the current peso in the early nineties.
