3-peso banknote from the Central Bank of Cuba, year 2005, uncirculated (UNC), cataloged as Pick 27b.

Obverse: portrait of Ernesto Guevara (Che). Reverse: Che cutting cane, with the legend "Che, pioneer of voluntary work".

The 3-peso banknote is the only one with that value in the Cuban monetary system, and it is one of the most recognizable in the country because of its protagonist. Ernesto "Che" Guevara (1928-1967) was one of the most well-known figures of the Revolution, and the scene on the reverse alludes to the voluntary work he promoted.
