Set of 3 banknotes from the Central Bank of Mauritania, dated November 28, 2002, uncirculated (UNC): 100 ouguiya (Pick 4k), 200 ouguiya (Pick 5j) and 500 ouguiya (Pick 8c).

The obverses combine traditional geometric motifs in blue (100), red and green (200) and green (500), with the denomination in Arabic calligraphy and white windows with a watermark. The reverses show musical instruments and a cow in front of a mosque tower (100), a wooden bowl, a pirogue and a palm tree (200) and shepherds with their livestock next to a mining facility (500).

The ouguiya replaced the CFA franc in 1973 and is divided into five khoums, a peculiarity among the world's currencies.
