Salas, a town on the Primitive Way, and Cornellana, with its monastery, are lands of tradition. Old pesetas and silver coins often turn up in the houses of this council area.

An honest warning: most of what is kept at home is very common material, and in those cases, only perfect specimens, without folds or stains, have any value (look at them with a side light, almost brushing the paper, and you will see). What is truly of interest: 19th and early 20th-century Bank of Spain banknotes, local Civil War banknotes in Asturias, silver and gold coins, and complete collections.
