Numismatics in Ibias: I buy banknotes, coins, and antique collections
Compartir
There's no need to look for a coin shop in Ibias open to the public here: I buy old banknotes and coins, collections, and inheritances throughout the Ibias council, and I will come to see them at your home without charging for the visit. You can also come to my shop in Gijón, at Calle Cabrales 77.

My name is Fran and I run Iberoamericana Banknotes, in Gijón. I am an authorized PMG dealer and the first thing I do is explain what you have; the offer comes later.
Old banknotes and coins in Ibias
Ibias, in the southwest, is one of the most remote councils in Asturias. Send me photos via WhatsApp and I'll tell you if what you have is worth the trip.
What appears most often in homes in this mountain and inland area:
- silver coins from fairs and livestock trade
- banknotes and coins sent by those who emigrated
- pesetas kept at home for generations
How we can look at them: at your home or in my shop
- I travel to your home for free. With a few photos via WhatsApp, I can tell you in less than 24 hours if it's worth me going. If it is, I'll head to San Antolín de Ibias or Cecos, or your village, review everything in front of you, and pay you by bank transfer on the spot if we reach an agreement.
- You come to my shop in Gijón. Calle Cabrales 77, next to Parque de Begoña. Make an appointment beforehand and we will review them without rushing, with a magnifying glass and good light; you will leave knowing what you have and how much I am offering.
I prefer to be clear from the start: of what comes out of drawers, almost everything is pesetas and very common coins. Tons of those are preserved and, with few exceptions, only those in impeccable condition have value. That is why I look at the photos before going. What I do want to see: 19th and early 20th-century Bank of Spain banknotes, local Civil War banknotes from Asturias, silver, gold, and large collections. I explain this in which peseta banknotes and coins have value.
