Numismatics in Grado: appraisal and purchase of old banknotes and coins
Compartir
There is no need to look for a coin shop in Grado open to the public: I buy old banknotes and coins, collections, and inheritances throughout the municipality of Grado, and I will come to your home to see them without charging for the visit. You can also come to my shop in Gijon, at Calle Cabrales 77.

I am Fran, from Iberoamericana Banknotes, a coin shop in Gijon and an authorized PMG dealer. I explain what you have piece by piece before offering you anything.
Old banknotes and coins in Grado
Grado, a market town for centuries, has always been a place of buying, selling, and saving. In its houses, there are often banknotes and coins left over that deserve a second look.
What appears most often in homes in this part of central Asturias:
- collections of pesetas mounted in albums
- silver coins from weddings, baptisms, and fairs
- old banknotes kept in books and folders
Two ways to show me your collection
- I come to your house, at no cost. First, you send me some photos via WhatsApp; I will reply the same day and, if there is something worth seeing, we will meet in Grado, Peñaflor, or Rañeces, or wherever you live, at the time that suits you best. We will look at them together, and if you accept the offer, I will transfer the payment immediately.
- You come to my shop in Gijon. Calle Cabrales 77, next to Parque de Begoña. Make an appointment first and we will review them without rush, with a magnifying glass and good light; you will leave knowing what you have and how much I will give you.
I will tell you before anything else: most of what is in people's houses are very common pesetas and coins, and with few exceptions, only perfect specimens are worth anything. That is why I ask for photos first. What is worth showing: Bank of Spain banknotes from the 19th and early 20th centuries, local Civil War banknotes in Asturias, silver and gold coins, and large collections. You have more details on which peseta banknotes and coins have value.
Send me photos via WhatsApp: I will come to your home or give you an appointment at my Gijon shop
