Uganda 1000 Shillings Replacement Note, issued in 2003 by the Bank of Uganda, Pick 39A, PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ certified, exceptional paper quality, uncirculated. Due to its replacement status, the mintage of this specimen was much lower than that of the regular note.

Obverse: Farmers on the left, with the national coat of arms at the top center and the Bank of Uganda emblem on the right. Reverse: A grain warehouse with several trucks, an image of the country's agricultural logistics in the early 2000s.

The motif of silos and transport alludes to the importance of the cereal sector in post-civil war Uganda, in the midst of economic modernization. The replacement mark makes this note a common target for collectors specializing in rare variants.
